- Recall a missing expression, rebuild it with word tiles, or explain its meaning in your own words. Mix them in one round.
- Help when you need it
- Use a hint or reveal the answer, read its explanation, then retry the expressions that need another look.
- Never lose the scene
- Your session words keep their source sentence and timestamp. Jump back to hear the expression in context.

Enjoy the videos you already have
Open local MP4, MKV, AVI and other supported media. Existing subtitles get a head start; local speech recognition can generate missing ones.
YouTube, in your player
Copy a supported video link and press Ctrl+V in Player. Confirm to open it with the same subtitle and learning tools as your local videos. Open URL also accepts supported Vimeo, Dailymotion and direct streams.
Your machine does the work
Speech recognition, translation and learning analysis run locally. Your video does not need to be uploaded to a cloud AI service.
Make every subtitle track your own
Choose language-specific fonts, bold text, colors and an outside outline for each track. Adjust size, background, position and timing independently, without moving your corner learning card.
Your subtitles keep preparing while you pause
Subtitle generation, translation and learning preparation can continue while playback is paused. Save projects to resume later; Close video unloads the media and stops its background work.

Good words have a way of staying
Not a lesson interrupting your movie. A small, useful explanation when the dialogue has something worth noticing.
- Mix eight interests: vocabulary, idioms, phrasal verbs, word combinations, sentence patterns, everyday speech, tone and cultural references.
- Choose your learner level and explanation language. Supported vocabulary includes dictionary pronunciation in IPA.
- Set the pace, including Continuous: the next ready card follows its reading time. Hover or pause to keep a visible card open.
- Choose any of four corners or directly above subtitles, and decide whether to include the source sentence.
- Revisit words from your session, jump back to their scene, and practise only expressions you encountered.

What does the learning mode actually teach?
Choose one or more of eight interests, from useful vocabulary and idioms to phrasal verbs, sentence patterns and cultural references. Cards explain expressions from the dialogue in your chosen explanation language. Dictionary pronunciation is included where available. Level changes what is worth learning; frequency changes how often ready cards are shown, not how quickly your PC can prepare them.
Are the quizzes based on what I watched?
Yes. Session practice uses learning expressions you encountered, not unseen subtitles or sample preview cards. Choose mixed challenges, sentence recall, build-the-phrase or meaning self-checks, in rounds of up to five or ten expressions. Hints, answer reveals, retry rounds and links back to the original scene help you learn without guessing what went wrong. Meaning questions are self-assessed, not automatically graded.
How is Omni Player different from Omni Live?
Omni Player is a video player for media you open yourself — films, anime and podcasts from your drive or a supported video link — with generated subtitles, translation, saved projects and optional language learning. Omni Live listens to computer audio and provides real-time captions and translation for whatever is playing right now. They are separate apps with separate licenses.
Can it generate subtitles if my video has none?
Yes. After the speech-recognition model is downloaded, Omni Player can generate subtitles from the video’s audio. Existing embedded or external text subtitles can avoid that step. Accuracy and processing speed vary by language, audio and hardware.
Can I see the original and more than one translation?
Yes. Display the original alongside up to two translation tracks, with independent fonts, colors, outlines, positioning and timing controls.
Does it work with every streaming service?
No. Supported public video links and direct streams can open in Player. Site changes, sign-in requirements and DRM can prevent playback. Browser integration depends on the site and is not a way to bypass access restrictions.
Does local mean I never need the internet?
Local media and downloaded AI models can work offline. Model downloads, online video, activation and periodic license checks require a connection. Audio and video do not need to be sent to a cloud AI service for local processing.
What kind of computer do I need?
A supported 64-bit Windows 10 or Windows 11 computer. Available memory and CPU/GPU capability determine which AI models are practical. Setup helps you choose a profile; larger models need more storage and memory.
