Siblings Paloma and Felix dispute control of a hospital inherited from their father, Caesar. Felix, seeking to punish his sister, kidnaps her newborn daughter and abandons her in a dumpster. Bruno, having lost his wife and child in childbirth, finds and adopts the baby, registering her under his name. Twelve years later, Paloma learns of her daughter's whereabouts and will do anything to get her back. She falls in love with Bruno, the man who adopted her daughter, and this romance could disrupt Felix's plans. Meanwhile, Caesar's stable marriage to Pilar is threatened by the arrival of his new secretary, Aline, an unscrupulous woman determined to seduce her boss.
